Our NexLog DX-Series recording solutions provide voice recording, archival storage, and easy access to recordings, and include redundant power supplies, a RAID1, RAID5 or RAID10 redundant hard disk array, and Linux operating system – for maximum up-time. Accurate time synchronization is provided via standard NTP or optional IRIG-B connectivity. Recorded calls may be accessed directly from the Voice Recording System’s optional front panel touch screen controls or via Eventide’s “MediaWorks DX” browser-based software.

ED137B/C-Part 4 (Next Generation VoIP Recording for ATC/ATM)

Eventide offers advanced IP-based NexLog DX-Series Voice Recording Systems (VRS) that implement the ED137B/C Part 4 recording Interface, as defined under European Organization for Civil Aviation Equipment (EUROCAE) WG67.

This capability allows Eventide NexLog DX-Series Voice Recording Systems (VRS) to interoperate with and record from ED137-capable Ground Radio Stations (GRS), Controller Working Positions (CWP), and Voice Communications & Control Systems (VCS/VCCS).

Eventide is a member of the EUROCONTROL VOTE (VoIP in ATM Implementation and Transition Expert) group, which deals with validation and deployment matters related to next generation VoIP communications used in Air Traffic Management (ATM). Eventide is also a member of EUROCAE and actively participates in EUROCAE WG 67.

Analog and Digital Recording for ATC

In addition to ED137, Eventide NexLog DX-Series Voice Recording Systems (VRS) can be equipped to record audio from other ATC/ATM audio sources, including:

  • Analog (2-wire or 4-wire) from CWP or VCCS
  • Analog from amplified microphones
  • T1 or E1 digital circuits from VCCS

Software-Based Screen Recording and Synchronized Replay

NexLog DX-Series Voice Recording Systems (VRS) can also provide software-based screen recording for Air Traffic Control centers and Airspace Navigation centers.  The NexLog DX-Series Voice Recording Systems (VRS) economical software-based screen recording option provides synchronized recording and replay of screens and audio at Controller Working Positions (CWP).  Eventide’s software-based screen recording option supports both Windows PCs and Linux PCs.

Replay Synchronization via API

Eventide offers custom API options for the development of time-synchronized VRS replay by third-party radar & air navigation providers.

Replay Synchronization with Thales TopSky

Eventide’s NexLog DX-Series Voice Recording Systems (VRS) are capable of interoperation with Thales TopSky Air Navigation System, providing synchronized replay of audio along with the controller’s working position imagery (under API control from the Air Navigation system’s scenario replay functions). Eventide’s Voice Recording Systems (VRS) have successfully passed testing at Thales Air Systems in Rungis, France for interoperability with TopSky ATC X release 3.20. Testing occurred during the week of 31 March, 2016. Tests including VRS ICD Protocol, replay search, play, pause, and resume were performed. The NexLog Voice Recording Systems (VRS) passed all interoperability tests, and was able to record and playback voice synchronized with TopSky Playback server at the Controller Working Position (CWP).
