Recording Solution for DMR Radio Systems

NexLog DX-Series Recording Systems for Digital Mobile Radio

Eventide’s engineers are industry experts for recording of Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) radio systems from Motorola and Tait. Eventide is a member of the DMR Association, which promotes the Digital Mobile Radio (DMR) standards.

NexLog DX-Series recorders can be licensed to support the following types of DMR systems:

Motorola Solutions DMR Systems

DMR Tier III: MOTOTRBO Capacity Max

NexLog DX-Series communications recorders support IP-based recording for calls on the MOTOTRBO Capacity Max topology, via a direct wireline (networked) interface. The call types that can be recorded include Group (with Enhanced Privacy), Group (clear), Individual (with Enhanced Privacy), Individual (clear), Site All-Call, Multi-Site All-Call, Broadcast, Emergency, and Transmit Interrupt/takeover.   The NexLog DX-Series recorder interoperates with MOTOTRBO Voice and Radio Command (VRC) Gateway(s) to capture, record, and archive the IP audio streams and call-related metadata for each voice transmission.

MOTOTRBO Linked Capacity Plus, Capacity Plus, and IP Site Connect

NexLog DX-Series communications recorders support IP-based recording of Group Calls and Individual Calls for the Linked Capacity Plus, Capacity Plus, and IP Site Connect controllerless MOTOTRBO topologies. The NexLog DX-Series recorder interoperates with MOTOTRBO repeaters via the Network Applications Interface/Voice API to capture, record, and archive the IP audio streams and call-related metadata from each voice transmission. Eventide is an Authorized Application Provider.

Tait DMR Systems

Tait DMR Tier-III (Trunked)

NexLog DX-Series communications recorders support IP-based recording Tait DMR Tier III trunked system via the Voice Recording Protocol (VRP). The NexLog DX-Series recorder interoperates with the DMR Node to capture, record, and archive the IP audio streams and call-related metadata from each voice transmission. The NexLog DX-Series integration to Tait DMR Tier III has been validated by Tait Communications.

Tait DMR Application Note

Tait DMR Tier-II (Conventional)

NexLog DX-Series communications recorders support IP-based recording for the Tait DMR Tier II conventional system. The NexLog DX-Series recorder interoperates to capture, record, and archive the IP audio streams and call-related metadata from each voice transmission.

DMR System Recording via IP Dispatch Interfaces

NexLog DX-Series communications recorders can record Group calls and Dispatch activity for most other DMR systems, via interface to a third-party IP Dispatch system.  The IP Dispatch system typically connects to the DMR system via the DMR-standard “AIS” dispatch interface.  The NexLog DX-Series recorder typically connects to the IP Dispatch system via a proprietary wireline interface.  Many popular IP Dispatch systems are supported, and are listed here.
